Pre-Kindergarten 3 Curriculum

The Pre-Kindergarten 3 program is a developmental play program that reflects deep understanding of the stages of growth and maturation of our youngest RPDS children.

For many students, this is their first experience in a school setting with simple routines. The program is designed to offer a wide variety of satisfying early learning experiences. Students enjoy multi-sensory activities designed to promote the development of the whole child; socially, emotionally, cognitively, and physically. Thematic units offer the framework for activities designed to enhance fine motor development, eye-hand coordination, visual tracking, spatial developments, and language growth. Music and movement are routinely incorporated to enhance early learning concepts.

The Pre-Kindergarten 3 classrooms are located on the ground floor next to the main office in the Williams Building. This allows for easy drop-off and pick-up. Each of the Pre-K 3 classrooms are large, spacious and intentionally designed to offer young children the opportunity to freely explore social play experiences with others. Well-designed play areas are equipped with age appropriate materials. These play areas foster growth in early social developments.

Parents are offered the selection of a two, three or five day program that meets from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon. Children in the two-day program meet on Tuesday and Thursday. The three-day program meets on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Extended day is available for our Pre-K 3 children.
