Admission Process
Our admission process begins with a personal tour of our campus; whereby you will have the opportunity to observe our teachers and children engaged in the learning process and have your questions answered.
Parent Visit and Campus Tour
Please call the Admission Office at (904) 353-3459 to schedule a parent tour and meeting with Shirley Francis, Director of Admission and Head of Lower School.
Application and Fees
Submit application form and appropriate application fee:
- Pre-K3: $100
- Pre-K4 through Grade 6: $50
Student Visit and Assessment
Individual visits and screening are scheduled by the Admission Office according to the grade level the student will be entering. Appointments are scheduled upon receipt of an application.
- PreK3 – Our three year old program is a developmental play program and requires no admission evaluation for entry. Students enrolled in the PreK3 program will participate in the same assessment process required for admission to the PreK4 program.
- PreK4 – Our four year old program requires that students be evaluated for overall readiness and maturity for preschool learning.
- Kindergarten – Our Kindergarten program requires that students be evaluated for overall readiness and maturity for Kindergarten.
- Grades 1 – 6 – Students are evaluated during a full day school visit.
Recommendations and School Records
Please submit the following to the Admission Office at 830 Oak Street, Jacksonville, FL 32204:
- Current school records including report cards and standardized testing scores for students entering first through sixth grade.
- A Teacher Recommendation form completed and mailed directly to the Admission Office by your child’s current teacher. This form will be provided to parents at time of screening.
Admission Deadline
Applicants should complete the full application process by February 1st. Applications received after this date will be reviewed based on availability.
Admission Decision
The Admission Committee will review all qualified applicants. Offers for admission to new students will be extended in mid-February.

Riverside is dedicated to providing need-based financial assistance to qualifying families. Please contact the Admission Office for specific information.
