The educational promise Riverside fulfills today is what the founders of RPDS had in mind 61 years ago when they established a school that would inspire children to become life-long learners and equip them with the skills necessary to adapt to an ever-changing world.
As I walk through our beautiful campus each day, I am amazed by the privilege I have to watch our children as they discover their individual gifts, develop a love of learning, make friendships that will last a lifetime and learn that serving others brings as much joy to them as it does to those they serve. Our students live these lessons and values, which are integral pieces of the RPDS Promise. This Promise is why we bring our children and our grandchildren to RPDS. It is why so many of us fondly remember our time as students here. It’s why we teach here. This Promise is why we make heartfelt contributions to help sustain the school we value so highly.
Philanthropy at RPDS takes many forms and yet is a very personal commitment. The impact of parents, grandparents, alumni and friends who participate through giving to RPDS is immeasurable. Support comes in the form of endless volunteer hours, the sharing of incredible talents as well as monetary contributions and gifts-in-kind. Every gift, at every level, to every area, matters. Your gifts matter, because you become a partner in the promise that we make to each child that passes through our doors each day. We promise to educate and nurture their hands, hearts and minds, fully believing that someday they will pay the promise forward to future RPDS generations.
