Ways to Give
At Riverside Presbyterian Day School, ninety percent of the operational costs, facilities, and salaries are covered by tuition. Income from the school’s Annual Giving Campaign and Parents Association projects is used to support and enhance special programs both in and outside the operational budget.
Parents, grandparents, the Board of Trustees, administrators, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends all join the history and tradition of giving at RPDS. By joining hands in our fundraising effort, the Riverside family constantly improves the educational experience and environment at our school.
Contributions to the Annual Giving Fund, Endowment and projects sponsored by the Riverside Parents Association have funded many school-wide initiatives including the expansion of our technology program, enhancement of the science labs in the upper school, renovations to the school lobby and office, enhancement of Riverside’s playgrounds and athletic fields, and professional development for our faculty. The generous donations of resources, time, and talents support the outstanding educational opportunities that students receive while at Riverside Presbyterian Day School.
Annual Giving Fund
The Annual Giving Campaign is the cornerstone of our yearly fund-raising efforts at Riverside. The campaign begins in early October and continues until June 30th. Proceeds are directed toward enhancing the educational experience of our students. Annual Fund information is mailed in October and the school family is asked to give special consideration to their level of giving and to respond generously. The main goal is 100% participation by our RPDS families. Parental and Board support is often used as a benchmark for corporate gifts and donations.
Major Gifts Program
Riverside Presbyterian Day School has a continuing major gifts program for capital needs and endowment. A Development Policy and Procedure Statement is designed to facilitate the acceptance of major gifts and is available through the RPDS Development Office.
RPDS Endowment & Tuition Assistance Program
In 2003, the Board of Trustees initiated TAP (Tuition Assistance Program) to raise funds for financial aid and increase the Endowment in Support of Students (financial aid endowment). This is a major gift effort coordinated by the Development Committee of the Board of Trustees.
