RSS: Receiving RPDS.com Updates in Real-time

RSS, which stands for Really Simple Syndication, allows you to easily subscribe and keep track of your favorite websites, such as RPDS.com.

Currently RPDS has two RSS feeds, one that updates you when RPDS posts news articles to the site, the other when events are posted. Subscribing to both allow you to receive updates in your RSS reader of choice (see "Suggested RSS Readers" below). Instead of searching for updates at a website, in essence, the news and events come to you.

Benefits of Subscribing to RSS Feeds

Subscribing to feeds makes it possible to review a large amount of online content in a very short time from your favorite websites, such as RPDS.com, CNN.com, Amazon.com, as well as hundreds of thousands of other websites.

Getting Started

To subscribe to Riverside's RSS feed you will first need a news aggregator, known as a RSS reader, which will check RPDS.com, as well as any other website that you subscribe to, for updates. Whenever new information is posted, such as RPDS news articles, the item will show up in your RSS reader. Some RSS Readers are web-based (no download needed), while more advanced RSS Readers are software-based. We've listed several RSS Readers below.

Subscribing to Feeds

After you have either signed up for a web-based service or downloaded a feed reader look for a feed icon, like the ones on the left as well as in the footer of every page. Most feeds are denoted by an icon like you see on this page. If you have trouble finding a feed you can always use your feed reader to search for interesting feeds.

To subscribe, either copy the feed's link and paste it into your feed reader or use your feed reader to find the feed.

While you don't have to use a RSS reader to view RPDS.com's latest news this is a great way to stay in touch if you use this technology for other sites.
