Prescribed Dress Code

Riverside Presbyterian Day School has developed a specific dress code for students in grades 1-6 with the belief that students perform best when dressed neatly and conservatively.

Items on the RPDS prescribed dress code list are available through local retailers OR through Lands’ End. If you choose to purchase your clothing from Lands’ End, you may purchase directly through the RPDS' special Lands' End website. Supervision of the school dress code is a parental responsibility and the dress code must be worn by all students in grades 1-6. Students in Pre-K3, Pre-K4, and Kindergarten should be dressed in neat and comfortable attire that reflects consideration for the active day in our Early Childhood Department. If a student is in violation of the dress code, the student will be informed and the parent notified.

The following apparel is considered to be appropriate within the RPDS Dress Code:

Girls Prescribed Dress Code

Slacks/Shorts/
Skirts/Skorts/
Jumpers		 Navy or khaki (RPDS logo optional through Lands' End)
Shirts Collared Polo or Oxford (any solid color, RPDS logo optional through Lands' End)

Turtlenecks (any color solid, RPDS logo optional through Lands' End)

Sweatshirts and sweaters to be worn over collared shirts (plain front, solid color, without hoods, RPDS logo optional through Lands' End)

Please note, all shirts must be tucked in and all shirts, sweaters and sweatshirts sized to fit.
Belts Must be worn if apparel has belt loops
Shoes Closed-toed shoes with socks

Athletic shoes with socks are required for P.E. in all grades. Hiking boots and stacked heel tennis shoes are not appropriate for physical education activities.
