Art Enrichment
Chairs: Stacy Moseley
Volunteers spend one hour per month (Oct., Nov. , Jan. through May) showing famous artwork in the classrooms. Volunteers pick up artwork each month at an instructional program at the Cummer Museum. Volunteers do not have to have a formal background in art...just an interest!
Campus Beautification
Chairs: Annie Goldfield
Working with school staff, this committee keeps RPDS campus looking its best. They coordinate campus workdays as needed.
60th Celebration
Chairs: Missy Boney, Stacy Moseley and Dori Walton (Co-Chairs), Brian Roes (Musical Chair)
There are two fund-raising events dedicated to celebrating Riverside’s 60th birthday. Psychedelic Sweets is a casual dessert/dance party on November 14th at the Garden Club. Take a Bow is a student performance on February 14th at the Florida Theatre. Committee members are needed to help with reservations, ticketing, operations, underwriting, ad sales, and decorations.
Class Pictures

Volunteers assist the photographers and teachers on class picture day.
Dad’s Club
Chairs: Ken Mattiace
This committee of RPDS dads works on projects for school enhancement and also initiates and plans a special Dad’s Club project.
Eye Screening

Volunteers assist in this one-day eye screening for RPDS students held at the school in the fall.
Faculty and Staff Appreciation
Chairs: Mary Chupp
This committee hosts a breakfast or luncheon the week prior to the opening of school and after school closes for the faculty and staff. It also attends to the needs of the faculty and staff lounges.
Field Day

Volunteers are needed to staff the spring Field Day games in coordination with the physical education coaches.
ELC Field Day

Volunteers are needed to help plan and staff the spring ELC Field Day games.
Gift Wrap Sale

Volunteers are needed to help organize and distribute gift-wrap orders for one day in mid October.
Graduation Reception

A committee of fifth grade parents plan, prepare and host the Graduation Reception on Friday, May 29th in Kissling Hall held after RPDS graduation.
Homeroom Parents Coordinator
Chairs: Denise Hudmon
Parents work with their child’s classroom teacher to assist in planning and implementing class parties and events. They also help coordinate volunteers for field trips.
Library Aides

Volunteers assist in the Media Center one morning a month.
New Parents Welcome Committee
Chairs: Rebecca Myers
Committee Members help new RPDS families feel comfortable with the school. They are also linked with a new family to help them get to know the school and other parents.
Welcome Back Ice Cream Social
Chairs: Wendy Lovett
The committee plans and coordinates the back-to-school Ice Cream Social and Classroom Open House on Sunday, August 17th.
Octoberfest
Chairs: Bonnie Verlander
On Friday evening, October 10th, RPDS students, parents and guests will gather at the school for an old fashioned carnival complete with games, food and entertainment. Volunteers are needed to staff games, sell tickets and decorate for the event. Food will be provided by Moe’s.
Parents in Touch
Chairs: Corrine Sharpe
Parents in Touch meet the first Thursday of each month following the RPDS Chapel service. At the beginning of the year, prayer cards containing the students, faculty or staff names are given to each member of the group.
Scholarship Spagetti Dinner
Chairs: Susan Watson
Volunteers are needed one evening to help set-up and serve the dinner at the January Open House. Proceeds from this dinner go to support RPDS financial aid.
Sixth Grade Lunch Project
Chairs: Robin Virtue
Sixth grade parent volunteers are needed to distribute school lunches one Monday each month. The Monday lunch program raises money for special 6th grade activities.
Social Events

Volunteers on this committee bake and serve refreshments for special events such as Grandparent’s Day in November and Open House in January.
