Gobble Gobble! Today was a day stuffed with feasts in our Early Learning Center. PreK 3, PreK 4 and Kindergarten students shared a meal together and talked about all they are thankful for. We wish our RPDS families a happy Thanksgiving, please have a safe and fun break!

Our 6th Grade Project LEADS team packed a trailer full of food this morning to deliver to Downtown Ecumenical Services Council - DESC. All the food collected for DESC will help to provide to those in need throughout the holiday season. Thank you to our entire RPDS community for your incredible generosity and giving spirit!

Kindergarten STEAM took advantage of the Thanksgiving theme to investigate Native American architecture and written communication. They discussed all types of housing and construction, then even built a teepee, the structure most commonly inhabited by the Plains Native Americans.

Our 6th Grade students have been studying Martin Luther King Jr.'s impact on the Civil Rights Movement through a blended lesson of Language Arts and History. Students previewed a timeline of King's major contributions as well as analyzed his famous speech, "I Have A Dream."

The 6th Grade Athletics Boys Basketball teams wrapped up their season last night. They played against other area independent schools in a tournament at Jacksonville Country Day School.
