We know from experience that temptations come in many "flavors" and it is hardly news that children too face them. The reasoning, character, empathy, will power and decision-making skills that any successful individual must apply navigate temptation are learned attributes.

There are some stories that encourage reflection and introspection in a way that provides a fresh breeze of perspective. Biblical parables fit such a model but they don't have an exclusive corner on the market.

Educationally, the body of research relevant to childhood brain maturation is monumental. It is why the RPDS curriculum is continually molded to ensure that our interdisciplinary classrooms use an elaborate, layered approach that employs role-playing and novelty.
