RPDS Names Ben Ketchum As Next Head of School

Dear RPDS Community,

On behalf of the Head of School Search Committee and Board of Trustees, I am pleased to announce exciting news regarding the future leadership of our school. The Board has announced via media release its unanimous selection of Mr. Ben Ketchum as the next Head of School for RPDS. Ben will begin leading Riverside effective ‪July 1, 2017. This announcement is the culmination of an eight-month search process that attracted a pool of accomplished national and international candidates.

Ben has demonstrated a lifelong passion for teaching and a commitment to faith-based education. He is currently the Director of the Upper Division and Outplacement for the National Presbyterian School; a PreKindergarten through 6th Grade private school in Washington, D.C. He holds Master's degrees in Educational Administration and Teaching, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Economics. He is a collaborative and innovative leader with experience as both a principal and teacher, including a teaching position in Jacksonville in 1997.

As we conclude the search, I want to thank Headmaster Palmer Bell for his continued leadership and support during this important process. During his nine years as Headmaster, Palmer has put RPDS in a great position to continue growing and prospering in the future.
