The Diversity Initiative at Riverside is suitable for all PreK–12 educators, especially:

• Teachers interested in integrating a diversity, equity and inclusion framework into their teaching practice.
• School librarians, instructional coaches, department chairs, or school counselors who can find useful applications for the materials presented.
• Administrators and diversity practitioners hoping to transform their schools and better support their faculty/staff engaging in this work.

• Develop activities, lessons, and units of study that promote an understanding of the value of diversity and inclusion.

Rosetta Eun Ryung Lee is a highly regarded national expert in the fields of diversity, inclusion, equity, and education. She is a faculty member on the NAIS Diversity Leadership Institute, a lead facilitator for The Equity Exchange and a former member of the NAIS's diversity think-tank cadre, Call to Action. Rosetta presents at numerous conferences and nonprofit organizations such as the NAIS People of Color Conference, the White Privilege Conference, Junior League, and City Year. She has also worked with multiple K-12 public and independent schools throughout the country, as well as numerous colleges and universities. She offers training on a variety of topics, including cross cultural communication, identity development, implicit bias, bullying in schools, and gender bias.

Although she speaks and trains across the country, Seattle Girls’ School remains her home base. Rosetta’s expertise is strengthened by maintaining a connection to the classroom through collaboration with faculty and by working with students. SGS is an innovative middle school for girls, aiming to empower leaders and change agents, dedicating its energies to a diverse community of students and faculty, and living an anti-bias mission through an integrated curriculum. As a faculty member, Rosetta teaches science, math, technology, art, ethics, and more.
