The latest message from our Head of School

Dear Parents,

As we embark on our second week of distance learning, I would like to thank each of you for your flexibility and support and for kindly extending grace and understanding as we continue to navigate these times of uncertainty. We are continually thinking of you and your family during this time and remain committed to providing a strong academic program and supporting you, your children, and one another.

Yesterday, Education Commissioner Richard Corcoran and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis made the recommendation to the Florida Department of Education to extend school closures through Friday, May 1st. In accordance with the recent recommendation, the RPDS campus will remain closed through that time for both the health and safety of our community. During the month of April, we will continue to provide meaningful and engaging instruction through our distance learning program, while ensuring strong connections as an RPDS community. We share the hope of reuniting as a school community during the month of May.

Our Riverside Way calls us to lift one another through moments of joy and challenge. We are truly blessed to have one another during this time, along with our daily connection with our school community. May you find peace and balance in your everyday experiences and delight in the small joys you encounter with family, in nature, and throughout your community.

Thank you again for your continued flexibility and ongoing support of our school community. Your grace and partnership mean the world to us.

Have a wonderful week, and stay well.

Most Sincerely,

Ben Ketchum

Head of School
