Ways to Give
There are several ways to provide a gift to RPDS.
Use RPDS’s online giving form to make a gift using our secure server with a credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover). Additionally, you may make a pledge of support and provide a pledge payment through this form.
Please call Doug Walker, Director of Advancement, at 904-353-5511 ext. 186.
Send your check or pledge to:
Riverside Presbyterian Day School
830 Oak Street
Jacksonville, FL 32204
Checks should be made payable to Riverside Presbyterian Day School.
The CARES (Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security) Act of 2020 allows donors who do not itemize to claim up to $300 in "above the line" charitable deductions ($600 for married couples), while donors who itemize their charitable contributions can give up to 100% of their adjusted gross income. These donations must be made in cash and are limited to charitable gifts made in 2020.
Donor Advised Funds
A donor advised fund, which is like a charitable savings account, gives you the flexibility to recommend how much and how often money is granted to Riverside Presbyterian Day School and other nonprofit organizations. Donors may transfer cash or other assets to a tax-exempt sponsoring organization such as a public foundation and recommend how much and how often money is granted.
Stocks and Securities
Now is a great time to give a gift of appreciated securities. By doing so, you receive a charitable deduction for the full fair market value while avoiding all capital gains taxes. Please notify Doug Walker, Director of Advancement at 904.353.5511 ext. 186 or at firstname.lastname@example.org if you wish to make a contribution of securities to let us know when to expect the gift. To respond to any inquiries regarding the transfer, please contact either of the following at UBS: Buck Williams - 904.358.4144. Buck.Williams@ubs.com or Robert Mistretta - 904.358.4126, Robert.Mistretta@ubs.com.

Even though the CARES Act suspended required minimum distributions from Individual Retirement Accounts in 2020, donors aged 70.5 or older can still give directly from their IRAs to a charitable organization this year. Giving this way does not incur income tax on the transfer, and the donor's future required distributions will be lower since there is less in the IRA.
Many employees give generously to non-profit educational institutions by matching employees' charitable contributions. If you or your spouse work for a company that matches gifts, you may be able to increase your support of RPDS. You will be recognized for the total amount contributed to RPDS by you and your employer. The match also counts toward your eligibility for all Leadership Gift Circles recognition. Please contact your human resources department for more information.
